2. Collection and storage of personal data as well as the nature and purpose of their use

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal information. Every access to our homepage and every retrieval of a file stored on the homepage is logged. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. To be logged:

Course booking and user account
When you book a course through us, we will provide you with a user account on our booking platform.
To do this, you must first register via a registration portal. You will be asked to provide the following data:

This data is processed to create a user account and to uniquely identify users. Upon registration, the user enter into a contract of use, including these terms of use. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR.
This includes the transfer of data to our education providers. These process the personal data they have received via electronic means of communication, insofar as this is necessary in individual cases to process a user’s request.
Further information is voluntary and will only be used to optimize the services of the platform operator. This data will not be passed on to third parties. This data, if provided by the user, is processed on the basis of the implied consent pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit a DSGVO.
Data processing for the purpose of course booking with us is also based on your voluntarily given consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR.
The personal data collected by us for the purpose of course booking will be deleted no later than one year after the last receipt of the information provided by you, unless it is still required in the context of your studies.

When registering for our newsletter

DocuSign
We use this service as part of the digital conclusion of contracts with you. This enables us to offer you the option of signing and signing contracts electronically. You can do this using any browser on a PC or smartphone.

If you provide us with your e-mail address when executing the contract, we can provide you with the contract to be signed via the “DocuSign” platform if you wish. In this case, we will send you an e-mail with a link to your contract documents.

Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, the data processing will be carried out exclusively by the International University of Cooperative Education of the F+U Unternehmensgruppe gGmbH.

The signature service of our partner DocuSign Inc. Germany, Neue Rothofstrasse 13-19, 60313 Frankfurt, offers the possibility to exchange contract documents via the Internet and to sign them in a legally compliant manner even without the exchange of paper documents.

For this purpose, you will receive an e-mail from us with a personalized link through which you can view the documents intended for you and sign the contract. The personalized link is created when we send the documents that belong to your contract to our partner DocuSign in encrypted form.

By giving us your e-mail address, it is ensured that the personalized link is transmitted exclusively to you.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the fulfillment of the contract according to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

After signing the contract documents, your personal data transmitted to us is stored in the database of our hosting partner DocuSign as a so-called closed envelope. We receive an e-mail about the signature and storage, then transfer the signed documents to our own system and assign them to your contract. The completed envelope at DocuSign is automatically deleted after 12 weeks. We store the documents in our system in accordance with the legally prescribed retention period and then delete them automatically.

In the case of transfer to third countries, Docusign guarantees the maintenance of an adequate level of data protection through the following binding internal data protection rules recognized by the EU (so-called Binding Corporate Rules).

    The prerequisite for admission to a regular study program is the completion of an International Year One. The personal data provided by you for the registration will be transmitted to Touro University Berlin gGmbH in order to register you there.
